On route to The SharePoint conference

I’m writing this blogpost while i’m on the plane.. Currently I’m on a 9 hour flight from belgium to jfk, after that there is another flight for 5 hours. Now where am I going you might ask? Well there is the biggest SharePoint conference starting on monday in Las Vegas, USA. I really hope you’ll be able to attend this must see conference.
< br/>
if you are not able to attend this conference that I’ll try to provide a day to day post about what’s going on, what’s new and what are the things to look out for in the future.
< br/>
Our previous version that we created was a huge succes, although we are very happy with the result we stongly felt that there was certainly room for UI improvement. We did get some feedback that a few bugs were discovered and we really thank you for that feedback. It is a tool that was and still is build outside of office hours and altough we really try to develop bug free. Well it’s not always succesful 🙂 .
< br/>
We are really doing our best to finish it with a given timeframe that we’ve set for ourselfs so we really hope that we can make it. My part for development will be on the second part of our journey to las vegas.

For the rest there are 2 documents that you can already download from the Microsoft site:
< br/>
What’s new in SharePoint 2013 and deployment guide for SP2013.
< br/>
The ‘what’s new in SP2013’ is really recommended that you read this, because litterly all the new stuff is explained and some of the new jargon/specific SharePoint words are explained. So start with that one first.
< br/>
The other one provides a more in depth overview of how to correctly install SP2013 and what the correct way is to deploy solutions. What kind of options you have to develop against (Farm, sandbox and apps) .
Also there are a lot of SharePoint 2013 video’s that you can watch, I’ll provide the links from the moment I have an internet connection again.

That’s all for now 🙂
